Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Update – 11 March 2021

It is now a whole year this month since all regular church activities were suspended as the UK entered its first lockdown. Since then we have successfully continued with most of our main meetings online via Zoom, including Sunday mornings plus housegroups and the prayer meeting.

We now look forward to the gradual lifting of restrictions, which will hopefully (in the best case scenario) be completed on 21 June.

This month we are now starting to run Sunday morning meetings from the Longcroft, but in order to maintain the necessary social distancing, attendance at the Longcroft is strictly by invitation only, being done on a per housegroup basis. Other people are welcome to join us on Zoom in the usual way. All other meetings, including Sunday School, housegroups and the main prayer meeting will continue to operate fully online until 12 April at the earliest.

Members of the congregation will be updated as and when information is available. This will normally be by email, or by first class post to those without email facilities.

Thank you and every blessing.

Original announcement from Sunday 15 March 2020

Dear all,

Sending you much love.

In light of the escalating situation with Coronavirus and the fact that a number of folks at Longcroft have been experiencing symptoms including high fever and coughs, we have decided that it would be wise to cancel our meetings together today and all activities through the week. We are continuing to monitor the developing situation and will update again soon.

We’re looking to the Lord during these uncertain days and trust Him to keep all our hearts from fear.

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? … For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Much love & prayer,

The eldership & wider leadership team.
